WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EMPOWHER Junior?
EmpowHER Junior is the first and only leadership program focused on developing leadership, entrepreneurship, and interpersonal skills for adolescent girls in Nepal. EmpowHER Junior is a sister program of EmpowHER. EmpowHER is a leadership and idea incubation program for young girls to learn and lead in Nepal.
Till date, EmpowHER has worked with 74 changemakers , 26 Advising Committee Members, 34 Mentors, 19 Big Sisters, 13 Service Impact Ideas including an urban rural leadership and cultural exchange program with young women from Kalikot.
EmpowHER Junior is designed for adolescent girls between 12-16 years to enable them to explore their leadership skills, foster and implement their ideas as changemakers to impact changes, and make well informed choices about their bodies and self.
The six weeks long institute focuses on leadership development, impacting change for other women and girls, turning ideas into small yet impactful enterprises in their community and schools via experiential learning, peer learning, and one on one coaching.
The sessions are conducted by the in-house team of Ujyalo and experts from the community. The session includes topics on leadership, social entrepreneurship, gender inclusive innovation, and self introspection to help young girls understand that they themselves can be agents of change, and frontline leaders in their community.
The program starts from Dec 15, 2019 to Jan 26, 2019.
Total Investment cost: NRs. 15000
Non-refundable application fee: NRs. 500
*The fees include all the sessions cost, reading materials, session materials, lunch provided during the sessions, outdoor session, and a field visit.
*Scholarships are available on need basis.
Ujyalo Foundation is a young women led impact driven organization working for the advancement of young women and their ideas in Nepal. Ujyalo Foundation visions to create safe spaces for young women to effectively learn and lead in Nepal. Established in 2014, Ujyalo Foundation is the pioneer of programs like EmpowHER, EmpowHER Junior, NiDARR, and Women Leadership Summit in Nepal.
