As the Managing Director of Danphe Energy, energy services provider and a project development firm in Nepal, Pragyan plays a pivotal role in the overall development and expansion of the company. Through Danphe, Pragyan aims to help uplift the country’s energy sector from its current state of dire instability. As the Managing Director of Shaan Advisory Services (SAS), a specialized research and business consulting firm in Nepal, Pragyan heads all research work and consulting efforts to help businesses and institutions achieve opAngrtimal solutions to their problems. Pragyan has also been actively involved as a freelance consultant for various national and international institutions, including Practical Action and GIZ, on issues covering general management, energy, finance, and impact investment. He is also the proprietor and strategic advisor for Shaan Beauty Home, one of the oldest and most reputed beauty institutions in the country.
As a socially responsible individual, Pragyan likes to dedicate his free time to the society by getting involved in two of the most active non-profit organizations in Nepal. He is also a lifetime member of Richa Bajimaya Memorial Foundation, a cancer focused organization striving towards disseminating cancer awareness in order to achieve its vision of a “cancer fear-free society”.
Laxmi Prasad Tripathi has years of experience as a senior government official in National Planning Commission, Bir Hospital and Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare. His expertise lies in Child Rights and Child protection, Women development, social research, project monitoring and evaluation. He has double masters degree in Population and Family Planning Research from Mahidol University, Thailand and in Economics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. In Ujyalo Foundation, he is the Vice- Chairperson and currently he works as an advisor and consultant for various development agencies.
Angur Pant graduated with a Master’s in Economics from Tribhuvan University. Currently, Angur works as a freelancer stock investor in Nepal. In the past, she has worked as a Program Officer developing primary education related programs with development agencies like DANIDA, World Bank and others. She is the Treasurer at Ujyalo Foundation.
Nadi Malla is a psychology graduate from Colby Sawyer College, New Hampshire, USA and heads the Marketing department at CIWEC Hospital, Kathmandu currently. She is also studying Law at Nepal Law Campus and intends to pursue Law as a career. She has been with Ujyalo Foundation since the inception as the General Secretary.
Pravina Thapa is a graduate in Business, specialized in HR, and currently works as a HR Manager of one of the Business Process Outsourced Company in Nepal and Sydney. Her experience include project management, proposal writing, media and youth mobilization. Additionally, she was involved in organizing workshops and seminars for the commercial banks and financial institution in Nepal to lobby the issues with the governing body, NRB and relevant associations. In the past, she has also actively organized several programs such as Disaster Risk Reductions, youth mobilization, leadership, entrepreneurship, and gender issues to name a few. She enjoys reading blogs on current issues, and baking. She is one of the Board of Directors the at Ujyalo Foundation.
Sanjog Manandhar graduated with a Bachelors degree in Travel and Tourism Management from Nepal College of Travel and Tourism Management. He works as a photojournalist in Kantipur Publications. He is also involved as freelancer photographer with many development agencies in Nepal. Sanjog is one of the Board of Directors the at Ujyalo Foundation.
Dr. Upasana Maskey is an MD Obstetrician & Gynecologist currently practicing at Norvic Hospital, Thapathali after completing her degree from Nepal Medical College & Teaching Hospital, Jorpati in 2016.She is one of the Board of Directors the at Ujyalo Foundation.
Dr. Maskey has always been passionate about women health and issues. This passion led her to go beyond her limited hours of volunteering on related projects and thus pursue the specialized degree of MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Using her degree, she has provided advanced counseling and screening services to hundreds of women in Nepal via health camps organized by hospitals, NGOs, and other social institutions. She aspires to reach out to women in the most remote parts of the country in the future.
