Women Leadership Summit– is a six months long leadership program that comprises a six-day residential program, three bi-monthly meetups, a Bring It Back event and a graduation.
Women Leadership Summit works to foster leadership via the lens of gender and sexuality alongside technical skills to help young women professionals grow and thrive at a workplace. The vision of the program is to create young women professionals in leadership and decision-making roles in Nepal.
In 2019, the Summit will start from February 23 with a residential program in Chitwan. This year the Summit will focus on looking at leadership through intersectionality, with a goal to create an inclusive workforce for women and feminine identities from all backgrounds!
The Summit will take in 18-20 young professionals who are women or identify themselves as feminine from various districts and diverse background throughout Nepal to develop necessary skills to activate their leadership skills at their work and grow towards higher leadership positions.
The main objective of the program is to build a strong network of young women leaders in the workforce who can imbue leadership skills among other young women at their work and community.
- The residential program for Women Leadership Summit 2019 will take place in Chitwan.
- The following are the criteria for the program:
- Must be between 19-45 years of age
- Must have been at least enrolled in Associate degree
- Must be actively employed throughout the program
- Must be employed in a position that requires overseeing a project or some team members
- Must commit to all aspects of the program: Residential program, Bring It Back Event, Bimonthly meet ups, Graduation, and Coaching Sessions for leadership growth
- Must be based in Nepal
- Women Leadership Summit only works with cis and trans woman gender identities.

- Unpacking Leadership Through Gender and Sexuality
- Understanding Intersectionality in Leadership and Meeting the gap
- Building Inclusive Work Environment
- Understanding Equity and Equality, and Mapping Our Challenges Within
- Strengthening Organizational Leadership (teamwork, time management, conflict management, effective communication)
- Bodily Integrity, Gender-Based Violence, and Workplace Harassment
- Laws and Policies that Influence Women, and Gender and Sexual Minorities in Leadership in Nepal
- Opportunity Optimization and Local Resource Utilization
- Visioning, Introspection, and Negotiation
- Communication and Alliance Building
- Self Care for Leaders, especially Women, and Gender and Sexual minorities

The registration fee for an individual candidate is NRs. 23,000/six month. Registration for the organization is NRs. 35,000/six month. The participating organization will be represented as a participating organization, where the organization’s information and logo will be represented in all the materials, sessions, and social media documents produced during the Women Leadership Summit 2019.
