Women Summit, is conducted to strengthen the network of women from different walks of life, foster collaboration and shared learning, and imbue the sense of contribution and responsibility towards society as an effective member. This is a yearly summit to bring women’s rights leaders of Nepal together. The summit focused on teaching these women about leadership, representing their unique self, body image, innovative learning, community work, idea development, sharing and implementation, identity and perceived barriers, and self-reflection, which helped them boost their confidence and challenge the existing discriminatory norms of the society.
For the summit, 14 Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) came together to redefine women leadership in Nepal.
The summit ended with a development of CHARTER OF DEMAND from each candidate endorsing their needs and demands to be successful women leaders in Nepal. You can find the CHARTER OF DEMAND HERE.
