EmpowHER 2016 saw another batch of 15 strong and resilient young Nepali women. Each changemaker worked on their “Impact Service Project” for three months building on their ideas and growing themselves as a formidable and focused leader. Among the 15 ideas that were presented by the 15 changemakers at the Graduation Ceremony of EmpowHER 2016, three of the ideas were able to secure a seed fund money.
Here are the three best ideas and the changemakers behind it for EmpowHER 2016:
“Creating Solutions” project focuses on mobilizing women group of Khokana city to build resilience and adaptive capacity regarding climate change with the help of community based resources . The project is led by our changemaker Ashra Kunwar. Read more about Ashra and her project here.
“Redefine” is a project put together by our changemaker Samanata Thapa with an objective to provide quality service in different communities by uplifting and polishing the capabilities of women domestic workers in Kathmandu. Read more about Samanata and her project here.
“S.H.E – Sanitation Health Environment” project aims to create women friendly restrooms at public spaces in Kathmandu valley via sanitation marketing. The project is led by our changemaker Yashaswi Surana. Read more about Yashaswi and her project here.
