The Programs Intern will directly work with the Program Leads to help run various programs effectively and smoothly. The Intern will document, produce reports, maintain programs related logistical support, and provide day to day support for the program. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who is meticulous, organized, and with a robust understanding of programmatic work at an organization.
Reports to: Program Leads
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Administrative:
- Support for outreach activities: prepare the logistics, documentation, and go for outreach
- Communicate for the outreach, advocacy, media and resource mobilization
- Help to organize meetings, seminars and events to promote wider cooperation with donors, and the foundation
- Provide a day-to-day support to the activities of the office
- Document social media activities
- Manage training and preparedness exercises for the sessions
II. Research and Writing:
- Undertake desk research in preparation for the launch of planned projects or activities while writing proposals or reports.
- Help in documentation of the program and sessions if required. Prepare draft summaries and reports of the events.
- Maintain the blogs in Tumblr of EmpowHER
- Write blogs for NiDARR
- Find stories to share every week for NiDARR’s ‘Share your story’
III. Networking:
- Interact with different stakeholders whenever required and possible to ensure cooperation and coordination in developing and/or sustaining the programs and function.
IV. Reporting:
- Weekly reports on the work achieved needs to be submitted to the supervisor.
- Other mechanisms of reporting can be followed.
*Perform related duties as assigned and as per need.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- Enrolled or Bachelor’s Degree Graduate in Development studies, Sociology, Rural development, or related studies.
- Experience of working with schools will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of effective resource mobilization skills.
- Excellent Communicator orally and in writing.
- Innovative, self-driven and team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment.
- Demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work as per the work demands.
